Club News Week 1 - Summary
This week we will practice fundamentials such as passing, rucking,
mauling, and tackling. The drills will be the same as you have seen before.
Because the first game will approach rather quickly we will not introduce
new drills at this time. However, if you have any old/new favorites see the
coaching staff after practice.

Also, we will incorporate a minimum of recovery time and instruction as we
try to use these drills to improve our fitness. We will try to learn by
doing as much as possible and eliminate the talk before, during, and
after each drill. Come to practice to work hard!

The jog and stretch will begin at exactly 6:50 pm. Currently sunset is at
about 8pm so there is only 1 hour of good light to work with. Get to
practice pick up a ball and work on your skills!

Backs, loose forwards - Work on passing/ball handling as part of your warm
up. Don't show up and start punting or kicking penalty kicks!

Locks, Props, etc (tight five): Practice line out jumps/throws.
Throwers/jumpers show up early and get some extra work on line outs. If we
don't have numbers, practice short line outs or have someone fill-in as a
jumper.

See you at practice!
