Club News The trip got off to a smashing start with Mr. Hart hosting us for lovely trip to a local spring on the Santa Fe river. If you've never seen Mr. Hart, Big Cheese, and Butterknife in the the water,at the same time, it was quite a site. We were able to distiguish the Ruggers from the native Manatee's, by their back hair. Also not to be forgotten was JT, PK's, and Butter's trip on the rope swing. Our Rugby idiot is still King.

After a short bribe of local officials, $90 to the rolling stop, opps your from out of state fund, it was off to Gainseville for a night out. Even in the summer there was some major partying going on for thursday. Everyone did well and avoided arrest, and JT got to practice for the WWF or NWO or whatever it is by instigating a girl fight after the bar closed down. How nice of those officers to insist that we leave first.

After a wake and bake session friday morning it was off to the vessel Sea Wings and Capt. Ray. It's a single hull, 44' sail boat. Adding to our crew was Scott Rodgers, and Mitch Jaffee, who both took the safe flying option. Our sailing trip took us to a local bar @ John's Pass called Gators. Imagine that. We then added some more color, Nate, and proceeded to impress women older than????? Good try by Scott, Big Cheese, Pauli, and our brother Nate.

Then the long awaited ride back. With everything looking good it was time for Capt. Ray to make his presence known. Just a mere mile away from our destination, the dock. Ray noticed water in the fuel filter. Trying to avoid the disaster, that is, water in the fuel lines, Ray decided to go against nature and its laws again, by removing the fuel filter while the engine was running. BAD IDEA!!!! Four hours later Paco and Ricky(Bullet Boy) swam for the dock and cars as the rest of the crew sail back across the bay. 8 hours later captains meeting!!!

Our first game was against a local team Crew2. We beat them handily around 19/20 to 0. Then it was on to our host team, our bud's, the Pelican's. After a 3 try outburst by the Pelicans we were able to notch a penalty try in the corner with Paco, Big Cheese, and Pauli all contributing. The second half we did much the same, but we were able to score again, unlike last year.

The rubber game was against Brevard. They were expecting to dominate us just by viewing our strenuous training regimine of booze, pain pills, red pill, water, green pills, Beer, and repeat. We tied them, with Nate, Chop and Butter having big plays. Then we waited for the points scored total. We moved on to the plate Semi-Finals, ahead of Brevard, where we beat Columbus and finally fell to Crew 1 in the Plate Final.

Pauli was the leading try scorer, Cheese was a one man team, JT played his heart out, Nate, Chop, and Butter too. Ray Rodriguez remembered how to play after a few games, and was fearless or crazy. We even got some help from Greg from Savannah, and Garrett Trance, Paco's brother. Thanks again to Mitch Jaffee who was our side-line leader, coach, motivator, designated screamer, from the sidelines.

Saturday night found the High Country Team courting any and all comers at a local assortment of Bars. After our usual remedicating it was a show down between Big Cheese and Pauli, for the prize of the evening. They took, dragged, hid, there potential queens to the imfamous Sea Wings, for a night of interesting sounds. Big Cheese was heard saying, I should have picked her up and thrown her over board, her snoring was so loud. Either way Butter to the rescue, in the morning our High Country Cavaliers were so polite as to say nothing as they went into the house, only to send out Butter, $20, and Mange's truck keys, and instructions for Biscuits. 1 1/2 hours later Butter returns with Biscuits, and the memory of 2 pissed off women.

On our return trip home we stopped off to see Mr. Hart for Our fair share, and returned to a great steak dinner at JT's.

Thanks for the Memories!!!

PaCo
