Extending the High Country Family

We have a great opportunity presented to us to help support a small village in the Highlands of Cameroon Africa, an area known as “High Country”, with its fledgling rugby program. Old Boy-Saint Mike Drapeau has been working for a couple years there on mission trips helping to build a hospital and a new school house. While there he also got them interested in the great sport of rugby and they started a team.

As a club we’re excited to be sending over our gold jersey set as a gift from High Country Rugby of Atlanta to High Country Rugby of Cameroon. We are also looking to gather gifts of training equipment, gently used practice gear, etc. to help them. We’ll be collecting at practice next week and at the Brewhouse on Thursday evening with the goal of shipping to Africa in a couple of weeks so please don’t procrastinate if you want to help. Let’s see if we can pull together and do some good out there as an extended High Country family!
