It was a joke...and I will try and be less thoughtful, I promise.

Tom, here is a little information you may find useful.
With a name like Thabane Ngwenya, it's a 90% probability that he is South
African and I suspect from the Natal province, home of the Zulu. This
means
he has probably played some pretty good South African rugby at Prop and
can
probably pass the fitness test you have proposed.
For many black South African's coming to America this is a "dream come
true". When I was living in SA many years ago I was astounded to find
they
did not have public education. In order to attend school all children were
required to pay "school fees" (even the desparately poor). This creates a
viscious cycle of the poor being unable to escape a life of poverty
because
they cannot afford an education.
In your haste to say something funny, give a little thought to the fellow
rugger who is wishing to live a "dream" and come to America. If he has
the
resources to make it to America we should welcome him with open arms. We
have as much to learn from him, as he can learn from us.
Sorry to come down hard on you Tom. But you really had no idea. I hope
you'll be more thoughtful next time.
By some strange concidence, today I am wearing a Springbox rugby jersey I
got in Johannesburg in 1998.
Give Thabane a break, I bet he has an interesting life story to tell.
Cheers
Doug Stoltz
(PS. I think Ngwenya means crocodile in Zulu)
