On Saturday March 28, 2009 the men of High Country took to the pitch against the Atlanta Bucks. The weather conditions were rainy, making the pitch more of a muddy pool than a rugby field. As a result, extra care would have to be made to insure clean play and a victory. Not only did the conditions make play more difficult, but it also scared away a lot of less dedicated players as there were not enough people to have a full 22 man roster. Nevertheless, High Country was able to prevail with a multi try to one try final score (exact score to follow).

High Country RFC took to the pitch Saturday, March 21st to take on the Birmingham Vulcan’s RFC for a share of the division championship. The team was pumped up after the embarrassing loss in Birmingham and was seeking revenge. Selections were tough as many players showed up to play and practices had been strong that week. On February 28th 2009, High Country RFC hosted the Atlanta Bucks for the third Matrix Match of the season. The weather was cold and wet, and the team anxious to try and put the Birmingham embarrassment behind them. The injury list was long, allowing many of the newer players to showcase their skills and gain valuable experience. The starting line-up included:
