Alex and Brenden return from Mobile with tales of wild exploits.
Alex:
Euphemistically referred to as an 'opportunity for growth of the Old Boy side of Atlanta', Brenden and I comprised a large chunk of the Atlanta contingent of the ORBS side. Rounding it out were players from ORBS, Columbus, Tallahassee, Montgomery, some club in Argentina (Brenden: am I forgetting anyone else?). Getting there Friday night, we made a beeline to the bar-this was to make sure we hooked up with whoever had already gotten there from the team as well as to recover from the sight of Ginger, the wonder dog in the loose dog suit.
The next morning we pried ourselves out of bed and braved an ongoing stiff COLD wind off the bay in order to win by forfeit our 11 o'clock game. Around lunch time, we saw Buddha and her %@!#$&ing; hats start to unpack a lunchie. Again, I'll leave the details to Brenden, but Buddha earned the new nickname of 'The Martha Stewart of rugby' for the spread (and perhaps resemblance?). The 2 o'clock game was versus New Orleans. We totally pissed away a win and allowed them to get by by 5 points. Understandably disappointed, we fortified ourselves at Buddha's table and got ready for the 4 o'clock game versus Battleship (who had beat NO earlier in the day). Due to some reserve of something, we were able to fight hard and hold on to a win (7-5?). A good time was had by all.

I would only like to add that when we arrived at the bar, the crusty crab
there was a strange figure with four legs in the alley between the bar and
the hotel. Dog my ass. What the %@!#$& is that, I say to Munoz. This
creature was obviously a product of some sick military experiment gone
horribly wrong. Like a cross of a pot bellied pig with an otter. It was
disgusting yet I couldn't turn my head. I'm thinking that perhaps we should
kid nap this animal and make it our mascot, at least give it a feature on
the web site. If not, I suggest we just keep stuffing hicks with spaghetti
and beef tips and make our own Ginger.
