Thanks to everyone that came out on Saturday. We played a good match against
a scrappy Columbus side that was bolstered by some strong play by High
Country Whores. Man of the match for the Backs was Tom Huntington. Tom had
an excellent game offensively and defensively. He also played a little loose
forward too! The man of the match for the Forwards was The Forwards. This
was the first time this Spring that our pack game out of the gate fast, hard
and focused. It was great! We set Columbus back on their heels from the
start and they never really got settled down after that.

If not for a few miscues and knock ons, we would have had several more tries
in the first half. It was great to see 3rd and 4th phase ball as the
forwards retained possession and then see it spin out to the backs for a
20-30 meter break every time. Jason Jellie had some strong runs at wing as
did Paulie. Tommy pounded the center and he and Mitch had some great
exchanges. Excellent service by Matt at scrum half!

Next weekend, things get serious. We play Huntsville away. We need a strong
turn out for that game. Please email me asap with your availability for
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

We need a strong turn out at practice this week. Even if you can't travel
Saturday, we need your body at practice. With the depth we have now, if you
want to insure your spot on the roster, you need to be at every practice you
can for the next three weeks . Let's have a strong turnout at practice this
week so we can scrimmage both nights. Let's have a strong turn out Saturday
in Huntsville. (Two games on Saturday- everybody goes- everybody plays)

Huntsville, Johnson City, Knoxville. Three games, three weeks. This makes or
breaks the Spring Season. We have a side that can win the South and go
strong to Pittsburgh for Nationals. All it takes is your commitment.
