After taking a 13-0 lead against the Vulcans of Birmingham, HCRFC let their lead slip away with the game ending in a 13-13 tie.  A valiant effort was put forth by all 27 that travelled to Birminghan.  All players involved walked off the pitch feeling like these just lost – a sign of letting the Vulcans back into a game that was in hand.

The forwards were our strong point in this match as they stood strong in the scrums and line-outs and made many goal line tackles late in the game.  The backs played fair and were hurt when Matt Hernandez left the game after a late hit.  Until that time, Matt and scrumhalf Benji were able to kick strategically and control territory.

Strong performances were turned in by Reid, Jon Fine, Troy, EJ, Trevor and Harley.  The lone High Country try was scored by Jon Fine.

This game was something to build on, not something to brag about.  Referee wore a Birmingham kilt to their bar (fill in your own joke here).
